The Story of Nick Paper
The surface that these drawings are done on are something we call 'Nick Paper'. Handtinted drawing paper that takes Prismacolor pencil work really well. To find out how 'Nick Paper' came about, and its connection to September 11, 2001 - go to my other blog, http://musedujour.blogspot.com/ and read the full story...

Ah, these are wonderful!
Hi Gretel!!
Thanks! And Ta for stopping by. :-D
I stop by and read your blog on a regular basis: it's so wonderful. :-D I'm behind in commenting, though. Between jetlags at the moment. Back from Japan Friday week ago, and we're off to England next Wednesday. Torquay for four days, and then London for some business for three. Then home to collapse. :-D
Hope you're doing well.

PS: Love your sad little rabbit.
Loving the paintings, Marianne - in this and previous postings. I particularly respond to the little elephant and all the roses.
Thanks, Rosemary!
This seems to be my path now. I still seem able to do the odd nature fantasy piece, but am leaning towards quirky still lifes - with or without toys and pumpkins - and wildlife or nature paintings. Usually all small. :-D
